Experience to Resilience

Personal & Organizational Resilience - lessons and wisdom from un/surprising places

Welcome

Welcome to experience to resilience (E2R). Every person, every company or organization has a story of a tough time weathered and overcome, or a lesson or idea that was tough to learn. At E2R, we gather the stories of these experiences, and the (big or small) lessons they taught.

These lessons may have shifted definitions of strength (perseverance and play? critical thinking, faith, and humor?), reminded us how we become and stay strong, or may have opened our eyes to new resources and ways of looking at things. The experiences made us wiser, made our company more collaborative and profitable… and they taught us resilience.

Oak tree – the wood was used to build ships because of its durability and strength. Click the photo to read our first post, about the Oak and the Reed, reflecting on Aesop’s fable about strength and resilience.

If, you have a story of an experience or realization that taught you wisdom and resilience, please share the 5 second to 5 minute version (~1 line to 6 paragraphs+ an image) via email  to story@experiencetoresilience.com, or send a postcard/letter. We can share it with your name and “one-liner description,” or anonymously and with or without your “one line bio”, as you prefer. We would like to share the insights and voices of all ages, backgrounds, types of organizations, etc. More information in the submission guidelines.

*We can’t promise we’ll be able to publish your resilience story, but we’ll definitely read it appreciatively, and, if possible, will send a thank you.
